Immerse yourself in some of Australia’s most dramatic natural scenery on Fit City Tour’s Blue Mountains Hiking Tour, a nearly four hour hiking adventure covering iconic views such as the Three Sisters rock formation and Katoomba Falls. Led by your very own Blue Mountains tour guide, this excursion leaves no stone unturned and is worthy of more than a view photo ops.
Operating daily at 9:30am, the tour begins at Katoomba Station, making it easy for you to get to the Blue Mountains. With our boots laced tight and our hiking sticks in hand, we’ll begin our trek. The first stop on our tour is spectacular Three Sisters rock formation. Formed by land erosion around 200 million years ago on once Aboriginal land, the sisters Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo form a one of a kind picturesque view, beloved by the hundreds of thousands of visitors that make the hike to experience them in person each year. Together, we’ll traverse towards The Giant Stairway next. A series of metal steps hacked into the rock, we’ll get our steps in climbing the 800 stairs, taking in more impressive mountain views along the way. Just a word or warning, they're called the Giant Stairway for a reason, they're steep, they're long and there's a lot of them!
Once we've all caught our breath, we'll spend about an hour exploring the Jamison Valley before head back up to the ridgeline of the valley. There's an option to climb another 800 stairs to get back up if you like, or if you'd prefer something easier, we'll take the Scenic Railway back up toward Katoomba Falls, a dazzling segmented waterfall that will take your breath away. Cascading approximately 240 metres into the Jamison Valley, this natural beauty takes “scenic views” to new heights.
From there, we'll stop and enjoy a drink with views for days over the Jamison Valley, before we head back to Katoomba Station to finish the tour.
