Sydney is packed to the brim with amazing spots to run, you just need to know where to find them. So here are a three of our suggestions that you can add to your running schedule to freshen up your training.

  1. The Bay Run

Located in Leichhardt this wonderful little 7km circuit takes you around Iron Cove with spectacular views of the Parramatta River. This flat course can be particularly busy at times, but if you are looking for not only a great run but also amazing scenery then try around sunset time which makes the river glow orange.

  1. Narrabeen Lagoon

If you are looking to break up that road running you are doing then definitely go and check out the trail run around Narrabeen Lagoon. The lush green foliage makes this 8km journey one that is worth the drive to. The scenery throughout the trail varies from dense coverage to more open sections with stunning water views. 1. Bondi to Coogee

If this walk or run trail is not on your list then it needs to be. Be prepared for not only busy crowds along this 8km walk but also spectacular views as you work your way past Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte and Coogee. Just be wary before you start this walk that it is not a flat route, the elevation can be a little tough in parts, but don’t fear there are no shortages of cafes along the way to have multiple coffee breaks.

And if you're after a longer option, head north from Bondi for an 80km track around Sydney Harbour, the long way, to Manly Beach!
