Food is always an important part of every travel experience and when visiting Sydney, here are some of our top picks to check out.

The Walrus Café - 276 Pitt Street, Sydney CBD

Named after The Beatles infamous song, The Walrus is a brunch hotspot for anyone visiting Sydney’s CBD. Located on Pitt Street, this café is a must visit for those seeking a relaxing break between sightseeing and meandering the bustling streets of the city. Sit back and take in this light and airy venue over a coffee and a bacon, eggs, tomatoes, cheese and mushroom filled sourdough roll.

Kepos Street Kitchen- 96 Kepos St, Redfern

Offering a shashuka with tomatoes and soft-baked eggs as well as fresh tabouleh and a range of desserts to make your mouth water, this café is one not to be missed. Situated in Redfern, this healthy eating spot caters for those who love the hustle and bustle of the brunch scene with the smell of baked eggs.

Earth Food Store- 81 Gould St, Bondi

Another healthy option for brunch offering gluten free, kosher and organic options and having the title of being the longest running organic store, Earth Food Store is a great candidate for brunch in Sydney. In one of Sydney’s best known suburbs, Earth Food Store offers a newly refurbished specials menu every month. Once you finish brunch, you can grab an additional salad from the great selection at the counter to go.

Ora- 17b Whistler St, Manly

If you are down Manly way, check out Ora for meals using organic ingredients including freshly baked bread. You’ll love the café’s surroundings of positive mantras painted on the walls and their specialty dish the Ora plate for breakfast which consists of sautéed veggies and sauerkraut. They’re all about fermented foods so they also offer kombucha. Their coffee is also a specialty as it is a blend of coconut oil, maple syrup, gelatine, salt and warm cream.

Vida Surf Store- 144-146 Curlewis St, Bondi Beach

A surf shop combined with a café, Vida Surf Store offers health bowls that range from familiar smoothies bowls to the up and coming poke bowl. If raw salmon and quinoa make your tastebuds tingle before a browse through the surf shop and a short walk to the Bondi pavilion, this is the place for you to grab a quick healthy eat.

Paramount Coffee Project- 80 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills

Known for its waffles, the Paramount Coffee Project is a place for those who brunch and have more of a sweet tooth. Toppings include Peanut Butter ice cream, hazelnuts or a savoury option of eggs, bacon, avo and tomato. The price ranges from $10-$50 and it is open daily from 7am to 4pm with a modern interior of white tiles and concrete floors, including a sleek bar to sit at.
